The Texas-T-Shirt-Project (August 2002)

Rolf Bier (Hannover/Berlin,Germany) asked Hlynur Hallsson - Islandic visiting artist of the Chinati-Foundation - on the 1st of August 2002 to assist in realizing "The Texas-T-shirt-Project".

There were three rules given:
1. Hlynur should ask people he´d meet on purpose or accidently at the Chinati-Foundation (or anywhere else in Marfa or Texas) to draw a shape of an ordinary T-shirt on a sheet of white paper (A4). They were free to do it with a pencil or a drawingmaterial of their own choise.

2. People should sign and date their T-shirt-drawings.

3. The Texas-T-Shirt-Project would be fullfilled to it´s basic level in case at least ten drawings had been collected: The shape of a t-shirt has ten angels which are needed to construct the universal shape we all know.
